She wasn’t proud of it, but she wasn’t ashamed, either. Maddy was young, it was her first paid acting
gig and, quite frankly, she needed the money. It was just shocking to see the commercial was still
airing after all these years.
“Are you lonely,” her younger self asked, under the pseudonym Neferkitti. “Are you looking for more than just a fur-iend? Talk to me while I pet myself at 1-900-CAT-CHAT. I’m purring all night just for you. Call MEOW!”

Nostalgically amused, she turned off the TV and continued memorizing lines for her current project.

“I’m tired of tiptoeing around lumps and clumps every time I step into the the litter box,” she recited to herself, out loud. “That’s why I wear new single-use LITTER MITTENS! Step in, step out, with style!”

She’s still young. She still needs the money
