“Ooh, look at that huge bug,” the condescending human yawped as Leia meticulously continued her up-close resarch. “That’s a big ol’ June Bug, isn’t it?”
“Actually,” the studious feline deadpanned, her eyes never darting from her subject, “it’s a Conitis Mutabilis. It’s from the the Scarab Beetle family, of the subfamily Centoniinae.”
The human sat stonefaced, struggling to make sense of what he had just heard.
“It’s a Figeater Beetle,” Leia sighed, retailoring her lesson to meet the educational prowess of her unintended student.
“Oh,” replied the human, “do you suppose that’s what’s been eating the figs off our tree?”
Guess which one has an advanced degree in Entomology and which one spends hour after hour binge watching reality television.
