She had scoured Middle Earth, from the Misty Mountains to Mordor, in search of the legendary ring. At long last, it was within her reach.

“My Precious,” she murmured to both herself and the elusive loop. “Oh, so preeeecious!”

Her lengthy quest at its end, Maddy needed only to finish what months ago she sat out to do. Ever so slowly and without lifting her gaze, she gently tapped the ring before watching it fall to the ground.

Then she turned around and walked away, ignoring the fallen trophy.

Mission accomplished.
